We "socialized" with real class as we mixed business with pleasure. The important business for the evening began by recognizing Inter-Faith Housing Alliance - the Ambler PA based non-profit that believes that "No family should be without a home to call their own". We presented their Executive Director, Marsha Eichelberger with a check for $5000 (generated from proceeds from our Chefs of the Burbs Benefit) to support their ongoing efforts. Business continued as we celebrated Leilani's birthday with a delicious cake and ten candles (made and delivered by Debbie Beardsley and Nancy Wynn). We concluded the business with Entree selections for the upcoming Holiday Party on Thursday, Dec 3. We were glad to be joined with special guest: Dave Heins' guest Rotarian Kim Arnold of the Doylestown Rotary Club, Fernand's guest Cherubim Vedomey, Marsha Eichelberger of Inter-Faith Alliance, and my guest Debbie Chandler.
The main event was an educational as well as an entertaining event presented by wine expert and Sommelier, Mr. Jeff Polis. Jeff's experiences range from Le Bec Fin, Four Season's Fountain Restaurant, Windows of the World, and areas throughout California. We were all good students as we studied Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir for appearance, intensity, sweetness, and quality. Dave Heins seemed very focused and maybe one of the smartest students, perhaps because he tasted as much wine as possible. All in all, everyone had a great time

THANKSGIVING DINNER BASKETS
Members of BBRC celebrated a day of giving thanks as we assisted Bethlehem Baptist Church in preparing and packing 300 Turkey Dinner baskets for local families who expressed a need. Led by Pastor Charles Quann, we formed an assembly line stationed with items such as peas, string beans, rice, potatoes, fruits, breads, and of course the turkeys.
