Rotary International is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the world, in our communities and in ourselves.  Our motto of “Service Above Self” inspires ordinary people to work together to accomplish extraordinary things.

Rotary helps create the conditions for peace, opportunity, and a future worth living.  By continuing what we do best, by remaining open and willing to change, and by keeping our focus on building peace in the world and within ourselves, Rotary helps create a more peaceful world — a more hopeful world."  Rotary International President, R. Gordon R. McInally

The Rotary theme for the 2023-24 year is “Create Hope in the World”.   The goal is to restore hope by working for peace and mental wellbeing and in turn, help us achieve lasting change for ourselves and our communities.

As the President of the Rotary Club of Blue Bell, my intention is to lead our club into its new year, refreshed and ready to create and inspire hope through our local/international service projects, volunteer activities, weekly meetings, social events, and charitable fundraisers.  In addition, we will work to improve the mental health of our communities through increased awareness, knowledge and access to mental health services and resources.  We need to overcome social stigmas against mental illness and provide pathways for those who need hope.

Through all of these efforts, the Rotary Club of Blue Bell will bring lasting change to our community, be it “one restored or newly created hope at a time”.

If you are interested in participating in meaningful community and international service efforts, I cordially invite you a Tuesday morning meeting to experience for yourself the warmth and welcome of our members.  We are your neighbors, community leaders and global citizens uniting for the common good, while having fun and building better relationships.  Please note that our club takes care of its members as well as the people it serves – this is the foundation of everything we do.

We have so many opportunities, and I look forward to working with you in providing hope and encouragement through service.

Yours in Rotary Service,

PPeter Jones, President, Blue Bell Rotary Clubeter Jones,
President, Rotary Club of Blue Bell
